At Inkhouse, I performed a lot of functions. My main fare was marketing analytics—dashboards, periodically reporting to clients, forecasting, etc.—but I was also heavily involved in content development. At GCP Applied Technologies (formerly Grace), I perfected SEO tactics to have Google recognize GCP as a foremost authority in the concrete admixture industry. I produced a video to demonstrate how GCP’s Verifi system turns mixing concrete into IoT (Watch video). I also developed their digital briefcase to facilitate the online selection and specification of top construction products.
Perkins provided the perfect bridge from my journalistic sense into content marketing, having to write inspirational stories for the exceptional education happening on campus, in Watertown, Mass. Getting the word out about the good work encouraged donations that provided additional funding for this nation’s oldest school of the visually impaired.
